 SIMRAN SHEIKH
This 10-years-old is the daughter of a labourer working in the power loom factory. Simran studies in Grade 4 of the Calorx Delhi Public School (Ahmedabad). She joined Visamo in 2002. Simran displays self-discipline and gives respect to the elders. She loves Drawing and dancing.
 STEFFI GAMIT
Daughter of a farm labourer, she is from Mandal, near Surat. This 6-year-old is studying in Eklavya School in Senior Kindergarten. She came to the shelter in January 2006. Steffi is a very affectionate and active child. Earlier, she was going to a local balwadi (rural village school) in Mandal. She mixed with others at VKF very quickly. She is very meticulous and regular with her work. She has good leadership qualities. Her interests are singing and dancing. She loves drawing.
 SUDHIR SINDHANE
Elder son of a rickshaw driver from Surat, Sudhir is studying in St. Kabir School in Grade 3. He came to Visamo in 2002 and was 6-years-old at that time. Before coming to VKF, he was studying in a local balwadi (rural village school) in Surat. A very loving and active child, Sudhir is very playful as well as talkative. At Visamo, we have strong observation system to study the child’s interest, inclinations as well as behaviour, so that we can groom her/him for a better tomorrow. We observed him to be aggressive and hence our professional counselor held some sessions with him. Now, he has learnt to control his mood swings. He has joined a singing class at VKF.
 SURESH DANTANI
Suresh’s father is a cloth seller and his mother is a house-help in Surat. He is 12-years-old studying in Anand Niketan School in Grade 7. He is a very sincere child and enjoys team-work. He likes to interact with people and takes care of everyone at VKF. His is interested in Math. He loves to play tabla (instrument) and chess.
 TAUFIQ MANSURI
Son of Truck Driver from Jindva near Idar, Taufiq is 10 years old. He is studying in Grade 4 of Tulip School. He came to VKF in August 2002 and was 6-years-old at the time of joining. Taufiq is a playful child and is fond of outdoor games. He likes karate and skating. He is very good at logical thinking. He loves science and social studies. We are helping him become more organized as well as responsible for his belongings.
 VAISHALI MUNDE
Daughter of a Municipal labour, Vaishali is studying in H.B. Kapadia School in Grade 5. Vaishali, after coming to VKF, has become independent in all her work. She is well disciplined and a hard working child. Also, she is always smiling and is very quite. Some time back we found out that she was not able to hear properly, therefore, after consultation with an ENT specialist she has been advised to wear a Hearing-Aid machine. We are working on getting her a hearing-aid machine. She is good in her academics and is a studious child, but seeks help in doing math.
 VIJAY MAKWANA
Son of a farm labourer, Vijay was studying in Deepa Academy at Tarapur before coming to VKF. Currently he is studying in Eklavya School in Junior Kindergarten. He joined Visamo Kids Foundation in January 2006 and is 5-year-old. A very quite child with a beautiful smile. Initially he preferred to remain aloof but now he has made many friends.
 VIKAS PARMAR
This 11-year-old is the son of a postman. He is studying in Eklavya School in Grade 6. He came to VKF in August 2002 and was 7-years-old at that time. He mixed with the other children very easily. He is very playful and is fond of outdoor games. He likes football. He is very good at logical thinking and thus loves Math. We are helping him improve his handwriting and also become a little more responsible about his belongings.
