VKF CHILDREN ACHIEVEMENTS & PARTICIPATION 2005-06

Considering the kind of background that these children come from, it is commendable that they have achieved so much, which without the support of Visamo Kids Foundation would have been a distant dream. We are proud of our young achievers and here is a list of their achievements.

 
ARPIT GAMIT
Son of a labourer, Arpit is 8-years-old. Presently he is studying in Anand Niketan School in Grade 2. He came to Visamo in February 2005. He is very playful and talkative child. At Visamo, we have strong observation system to study the child’s interest and behavior, so that we can groom him for better tomorrow. Arpit came to us with a heavy trible accent and hence we are working on his accent.




ASHISH BHADANIA

Son of a farming labour, this 12-year-old child studies in Anand Niketan School in Grade 7. He is a loving child and likes to help others. He is witty and has a good sense of humor. He has now started staying individually in his room and can handle himself better. He is good at drawing and dramatics. He wishes to be an Army Colonel, one day.

 


AVINASH NINAMA
Avinash is the son of a labourer who earns his living by pulling paddle rickshaw. His family lives in Odhav, where he used to study in a local English medium school, before he came to Visamo Kids Foundation in March 2006. Today, he is a student of the Calorx Delhi Public School (Ahmedabad) studying in Grade1. Avinash is a very quite child. He is a fast learner and has good grasping power. When he came of VKF, he settled very quickly. He is good with drawing and loves to colour.


CHANDANI VYAS

Daughter of a single parent, Chandni studies in Anand Niketan School in Grade 8. She has now started staying independently and can handle herself better. Chandni is loved by all and is very cheerful and well mannered girl. She displays good leadership qualities. She is learning dramatics and Kathak. She wants to be a pilot when she grows-up.

 


CHIRAYU MORE
Chirayu lived with his Mother before coming to VKF. His home town is Baroda and is right now studying in Grade 8 of the Calorx Delhi Public School (Ahmedabad). Chirayu had a traumatized experience of seeing his parents separate. Therefore, when he came to VKF he was seeking attention all the time. His attitude towards life had become negative. Regular sessions with counselors, training, love and affection, and exposing him to deprived people in the society led to very encouraging results. Today he is happily settled and is focused in his academic progress. Today, he wants to help others and has developed good leadership qualities. He wants to be a Black-Cat-Commando.  He loves dramatics and writing and wants to always be a winner.

DEEPAK SHARMA
Child of a daily-wage labour, Deepak has come to VKF in February 2005. He is 6-years-old and is studying in Eklavya School in Senior Kindergarten. He is very playful and talkative. At Visamo, we have strong observation system to study the child’s interest and behavior, so that we can groom him for better tomorrow. When he came to VKF he was very scared of ghosts. He required counseling to drive away his fears and he better now.

 

GAURAV THAKUR
Gaurav is the son of a Driver and was earlier studying in a local balwadi (rural village school) at Surat. After coming to VKF, he joined the Calorx Delhi Public School and is presently in Grade 4. Gaurav is a very loving child, likes to help others. He is responsible and is very good in Math. He loves dancing, music and outdoor sports.

 


GAYATRI CHAVDA
Gayatri is the daughter of a driver. Her mother is a household help. Presently she is studying in Eklavya School’s Grade 6. Today Gayatri is a confident child who has picked up English, eventhough she had not studied it before coming to VKF. Constant encouragement and appreciation has led her to stick to her goal of becoming a doctor.
